In this mini exhibition, the artwork is constantly changing. Not because the Kijkdoos itself changes, but because you, the passer-by, the viewer, the unexpected visitor, become the new artwork every time.

The mirror bears the title Unique Specimen. A playful nod to museum labels, but above all an invitation: pause for a moment, take a look, and discover that today, you are the artwork.

The Kijkdoos Roerdomp does not collect objects, but moments. Every glance into the mirror becomes a new addition to the collection: a smile, a surprise, a moment of recognition, a gentle “oh yes, I’m here too.”

The collection changes naturally. Everyone who pauses for a moment becomes part of the story.

Today: you. Tomorrow, someone else. But always a unique specimen.

We would be delighted to help you showcase your creative work and create a full exhibition at Kijkdoos Roerdomp, the smallest gallery in Nijmegen.

Bring along or send us something small (maximum approximately 15 cm): painted stones, crochet creations, small drawings, miniature paintings, bookmarks, craft projects... anything is welcome
